    Situation square HH 10:
    1.)  Traffic always proceeds via main harbor.  In the Caribbean as convoys.  On the Atlantic side still independents.  To the Caribbean outbound convoys about every 6 days 16 to 20 ships.  Atlantic traffic on changing narrow traffic lanes.  Outbound following the narrows, inbound stragglers.
    2.)  With favorable moon boats between square HH 1487 to 1469 to catch outbound convoys which apparently always leave in the morning.  Submerged by day to remain unseen there at all costs.  Frequent all around sweeps, contact holding hardly possible on the next day.
    3.)  Convoys have weak, untrained screens. Use of radar uncertain.  Found no night aircraft flying out of here
    4.)  With unfavorable moon set off to try and catch Atlantic traffic off the main harbor in the detected direction
    5.)  When a traffic lane is determined, other boats operate on this as quickly as possible.
    6.)  Up to 180 nm from the coast danger from land-based bombers has been determined, therefore later always submerged by day.
    7.)  Operation of several boats in this area promises continued success.

    2.)  Suspect on 11 September sank 2 transports because there is a base there, they were uniformly gray, lay close together in the anchorage.
