    22.53   Boat reported 2 soldiers transferred to U-566.

    11.55   Oestermann received new operations area between the latitude and longitude of the following squares:  CA 9711 and DC 3299.  Western half.

    11.50   Oestermann and Diggins received orders to operate on traffic which runs from Boston about via CB 1110, BB 7770 and 7760.

    04.35   Oestermann reported from CA 9195 miss on 4000-ton freighter as well as situation, weather and inventory.

    09.52   Oestermann received orders to operate on Vogelsang-convoy.  If operation is not possible report "No" by Short Signal.

    10.39   Boat reported from BB 7775 sinking a fishing trawler, light air and sea surveillance.  Up to now no traffic, convoy not detected, much fog, 78 cbm fuel oil.  Additionally weather and missing Serial Nos.  
           
    02.08.42   Boat was informed of shooting practice in Cape Cod Bay.  
           
              Requests to report situation or position on 7, 11, 12, 13, 16, 17, and 18 August were not answered.  
              U-754 was declares missing one star effective 7 August on 2 September 1942, on 28 January 1943 missing two stars was declared.  Total loss is assumed.
